MOXO test
A certified computer-based test that supports ADHD assessment.
The MOXO test is a certified, computer-based continuous performance test (CPT) that supports the assessment of ADHD in children and adults. It objectively measures four areas: attention, reaction time, impulsivity and hyperactivity.
The test is done at a computer and takes about fifteen minutes. During it you respond to visual stimuli that appear on the screen, while the program introduces controlled distractors — visual and auditory — similar to everyday distractions. The test is non-invasive and needs no medical preparation.
MOXO is not a diagnosis on its own — it provides objective data that the doctor combines with the interview and the clinical picture. The results are compared with norms for age and gender, and we then discuss them with you and include them in an overall assessment.
If you normally wear glasses or contact lenses, bring them with you. It helps to be well rested; if you take medication that affects attention, check with the doctor in advance whether to take it on the day of the test.
